K-Kids K-Kids is a student-led community service club for elementary students that teaches members the value of helping others through participation in community service projects and club activities. These clubs are made up of civic minded third, fourth and fifth grade students. The clubs hold election to select their secretary, treasure and president. There is always a teacher in a mentoring position available at all times. The BRANDON KIWANIS FAMILY supports 2 K-Kids Programs. They are at Fishhawk creek elementary, and Nelson elementary.
Terrific Kids Terrific Kids is a student recognition program that promotes character development, self-esteem, and perseverance. Students work with their classroom teacher and establish goals to improve behavior, peer relationships, attendance, or schoolwork. Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive, Capable. This is the Biggest project the Brandon Kiwanis club supports. We are currently supporting 24 elementary schools in the Greater Brandon area. We provide them with bumper stickers, pencils, and certificates. We have a Kiwanian at each award ceremonies.
